Delete your account and data

You can erase everything Caredo holds, from inside the app or by emailing us. Both routes are described below.

Where your data actually is. Your medicines, dose history, medical records and family details are encrypted on your phone and were never uploaded to us. Deleting them is therefore something the app does on the device, immediately. The only thing we can delete on our side is your sign-in identity.

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

This is immediate and complete. Open Caredo and go to Settings:

Delete local records erases the encrypted files and the encryption key from the phone. Once the key is gone the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
Delete account additionally removes your Google sign-in identity from our authentication system.

You are asked to confirm before anything is erased. Reminders stop at the same time.

Option 2 — ask us by email

If you no longer have the app or the phone, email apexstrategies23@gmail.com with the subject "Caredo account deletion request", from the Google account email address you signed in with.

We reply from that address only, because it is the one piece of verification we can perform — we hold no other information about you to check against. If you write from a different address we will ask you to send it again from the registered one.

What we cannot delete

Backup files and PDFs you exported. These were saved wherever you chose — your downloads, a cloud drive, a printout. They are outside the app, so you must delete them yourself.
Messages you sent. An emergency WhatsApp message or a call you placed happened in your own apps and is recorded there.
Your Google account. We only remove Caredo's record of your sign-in. Your Google account is yours and is unaffected; you can review app access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

If you just uninstall

Uninstalling removes the app and its encrypted files from the phone. Android's automatic backup is deliberately disabled for Caredo, so nothing is retained in your Google account. Your sign-in identity, however, remains until you use one of the two options above.

Before you delete: if you might want your history later, make an encrypted backup first (Settings → backup). Deletion cannot be undone, and we have no copy to restore from.
